CalTurf was founded over 30 years ago and has been serving Northern California ever since. With our farm in the Sacramento area, the sod business runs in the family, and it has always been our goal to provide the highest quality sod. We offer fresher sod than any big box store can, at a fraction of the cost.
Thirty years in business means we have had thirty years to perfect our sod recipe, so it is the greenest and most drought resistant grass available. Our sod is a combination of 90% Fescue and 10% Bluegrass, so your lawn not only stays greener for longer, it is also safe for your children and pets.
Freshness has always been important to us. My grandfather cut sod to order, my father cut sod to order, and even today, here at CalTurf, we carry on that family tradition.
