How ordering works

  1. Measure your yard

    Work out the square footage you need. Each roll is 2 ft x 4 ft and covers 8 sq ft. Our sod calculator does the math, including the 10% extra we recommend.

  2. Call or request a quote

    Call (530) 364-5155 or fill out the quote form with your name, the quantity of sod you need, and your preferred pick-up or delivery time.

  3. We cut it fresh

    All sod is cut fresh to order, never stockpiled. Freshness you can measure in minutes, not days.

  4. Pick up or take delivery

    Your order is cut fresh to order. Depending on order size and weather, we can cut and deliver your sod in just a matter of days.

How soon can I get sod delivered?

Depending on order size and weather, we can cut and deliver your sod in just a matter of days.

Do you deliver small sod orders?

Yes. We work with big and small orders, from a full lawn to a small patch.

How do I get my yard ready before the sod arrives?

Prep the soil first (clear debris, till, level), then lightly water the area about 2 days before your delivery or installation date and scatter a pre-plant fertilizer.

Can I return unused sod?

No. Sod is perishable, so we do not take returns. Use our sod calculator and add about 10% extra.

What information do I need to order?

Your name, the quantity of sod (square feet or rolls) and your preferred pick-up or delivery time.
